Engineering Manager - QA

Recko Inc. is looking for an Engineering Manager – QA to join our kick-ass engineering team. We are looking for smart, dynamic individuals to inspect and report on the quality of products through the entire production cycle.

What are we looking for:

Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and Test design with SaaS apps

2-4 Years of experience in leading a team in a fast-growing company and 8+ years of overall experience.

Experience on automation testing using Selenium

Excellent communication and documentation skills with strong attention to detail

Good understanding of Python / JavaScript and Linux commands, SQL Databases

Ability to think strategically and implement with excellence

A growth mindset and passion about building things from the ground up, and most importantly, you should be fun to work with

Good to have: Knowledge of performance and security testing, understanding of Jenkins, Kibana, Git, JMeter and hands-on experience with JUnit, Mocha (JavaScript), Any JavaScript e2e testing framework

As an Engineering Manager – QA at Recko, you will:

Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures

Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team

Gather product requirements (e.g. functionalities, speed, safety standards),

Document technical issues and solutions as well as prepare file defect reports and report test progress

Involved in Functional, User Interface and Regression testing and understanding the User Stories.

Authoring, Reviewing and Executing test cases for the User stories.

Performing external user testing as part of Security Matrix testing.

Improve processes, technology & applications you own continuously by showing the team better ways of doing things and help improve skills in the team.

Develop engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers. Conduct regular 1-1s with the team. Do performance reviews, promotion in collaboration with their manager.

Lead hiring for their team by defining roles, collaborating with recruiters for sourcing, and selling Recko and their team to candidates.

Make educated tradeoffs to keep product development moving at a rapid pace without sacrificing technical design.
